A local business run by incredible people. Alexis and Joe run a great and inclusive yoga studio. Classes can be physically challenging or cerebral. I've been to a few yoga studios in Philly, and while all have their own merits, Dragonfly feels like the most authentic experience I've had. The first spot where I felt I wasn't just improving my physicality or flexibility, but also myself for lasting change.

Dec 14, 2024 · Jessica DavisI was highly impressed with the yoga therapy I received from Joe, whom I sought out after struggling with persistent shoulder and neck issues for over a year. I chose to do virtual appointments for convenience purposes, and from our very first Facetime session, I was impressed by Joe’s professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care. Despite the physical distance, Joe was able to conduct a thorough assessment of my condition, asking insightful questions and keenly observing my movements. His expertise shone through as he pinpointed the root causes of my discomfort and designed a personalized home program tailored specifically to address my issues. The exercises and stretches were not only effective but also incredibly accessible. They took into account my lifestyle, limitations, and preferences, ensuring that I could seamlessly incorporate them into my daily routine. The guidance provided during our sessions was clear and easy to follow, empowering me to take charge of my own healing journey. I am thrilled to say that I have been pain-free for over a year now. I wholeheartedly recommend Joe as a yoga therapist.
Apr 08, 2024 · James PrendergastGreat community and great instructors. Taught me yoga is so much more than just asana (poses). Very unique in all their offerings. Special monthly class for members only is wonderful and enlightening. Able to use what I learn off the mat (in my life away from the studio)
Jun 04, 2024 · Steven WeissI went to a few classes (before finances caused me to put my weekly classes on hold). It is a really lovely little studio. I had a few different teachers and liked all of them very much. I went to gentler classes due to a back injury and broken foot, and all of the exercises were give a harder option or an easier alternative. The location is nice, as well. I was always able to find street parking and the museum parking lot is right across the street. When I went, they did require vaccinations for attending in person (which I was thankful for and all you had to do was send a pic of your vaccination card, super easy and not a big deal) but you could also attend live online. When there were people who attended virtually, the teachers made sure to pay attention to them as well and check in periodically. I don't believe they are requiring vaccinations anymore. The only comment I would make is to bring your own mat.
