Apr 07, 2025 · ldime99Yes to Gina’s class! However, unsure I will return. I’ve been practicing yoga consistently for 6 years and have practiced at a few dozen studios in LA, SD, and NYC. Upon entering a studio, I am usually greeted with warmth, a smiling face, and a person who makes me feel welcome…usually. I’ve been to NY Loves Yoga once before and they had a great front desk person, but today, I was greeted by a woman with dark long hair and glasses who was just…cold. No smile, no warmth, but she was notably chipper to another elderly woman who walked in after me. This made me feel unwelcome. Brushed it off, rented a mat for $2 and had a great practice with Gina. When I went to return the mat to the front desk person, she put her hand in a “shoo” motion, “You can leave that over there.” Call it disdain, disregard, or an off day, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I commuted from Harlem to take this class, I spent my money and time here, and this person’s attitude tainted what was otherwise a blissful experience.
Mar 30, 2025 · Cinn FrostTook my first class at this studio with Frank, and it’ll likely be my last. Unfortunately, I felt uncomfortable from the start. As students began entering the room around 11:14 for an 11:15 class, the instructor angrily yelled at them to keep the door closed until he said otherwise. It created a very unwelcoming and tense environment. I don’t believe that’s what yoga is about. The tone felt unprofessional and carried an air of superiority that didn’t sit right with me.
Apr 05, 2025 · Maddie DuganThey try to upsell their yoga mat and don’t state it in classpass. There are way better yoga studios in manhattan and dont treat you this way. Edit: you can see how they treat people by the reply they just gave. They are entitled and super rude. The problem is not about “$2”, the problem is about being transparent and not trying to fool people. Good luck delivering mediocre service with this attitude.
Mar 28, 2025 · Ece AFor some reason, they are super tense, the opposite of the expected zen environment of a yoga studio. I felt unwelcome, receiving rude and curt responses. Instead of leaving relaxed, I felt more stressed. After reading other reviews here, it's clear the owner fosters a toxic environment. I won't definitely be coming back.
